Peter joined HB Nitkin 2006 and holds a senior leadership position in the firm. Peter is responsible for sourcing new projects and managing large scale, ground-up developments. This includes oversight of all aspects of the development process from inception to completion including acquisition, site assessment, land use approvals, financial analysis, construction oversight, debt and equity financing, and legal matters. Peter recently completed The Front Street District, a 450,000 square foot multiphase development of commercial, multifamily, and educational uses in Hartford, CT.

Peter serves as general counsel for the firm and is responsible for all internal legal matters related to the portfolio. Peter joined HB Nitkin after seven years at a large northeast regional law firm specializing in real estate and construction transactions.

Peter earned his J.D.from The University of Connecticut and holds a Master’s Degree in Regional Planning from The University of Massachusetts at Amherst. He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Planners, Urban Land Institute, International Council of Shopping Centers, Real Estate Finance Association, and American Planning Association. Peter serves on the board and executive committee of Riverfront Recapture.
