Helen Nitkin, Co-Founder and Chairman, began The HB Nitkin Group in 1984 with her husband Bradley Nitkin. With complimenting professional skills and over twenty five years in the business together, they have created a portfolio of commercial properties in New York and Connecticut by seeking undervalued investment opportunities for repositioning and redevelopment. In 2009, after her husband’s death, Helen assumed the position of Chairman to provide strategic direction for continued growth of the company.
Prior to forming The HB Nitkin Group, Helen worked for a New York City based real estate development company that was an early pioneer in the conversion of commercial properties to residential followed by positions as both a residential and commercial broker.
Helen has held leadership positions in the real estate industry as the President of The Association of Real Estate Women and a board member of Young Men’s/Women’s Real Estate Association. She has served on the board of The Bruce Museum chairing multiple committees and is a member of the Dean’s Council of the Yale School of Architecture.
Helen is a graduate of Finch College and New York University with a Master’s Degree in Urban Planning.
